Special Guest Artist - Meet Gyool!
As a special treat to all of our players, we are flying in beloved artist Gyool who will be setting up a table during the event to do signings, sketches, and sell his merchandise!
Gyool gained huge popularity with the release of Alchemical Revolution, where his artwork for cards like Rococo, Explosive Maven and Seasprite Diver both charmed fans and hit the table at the highest levels of competition!
In Mortal Ambition, Gyool not only provided fresh artwork for several popular cards from Dawn of Ashes like Weaponsmith and Veteran Soldier, but also blended his signature cute style with a solemn mysticism to bring to life several intriguing cards featuring the upcoming Luxem Tamer Guo Jia. Cards like Bathe in Light and Glow Forth may be poised to be the next major competitive powerhouses with the release of the Guo Jia Re:Collection Deck alongside Abyssal Heaven!

"Scrubbed Out of Snow" Side Event
Sometimes the main event doesn't go how you want it to! Because we will have players traveling a significant distance to get here, we thought we'd lessen the blow by giving everyone a second chance if the main event doesn't go well - introducing the Scrubbed out of Snow side event!
In this event, players will earn Mercurial Heart Event Packs based on performance - giving you one more chance to at least score a regular Backup Charger or other valuable cards like Icebound Slam and Ravishing Finale!
Start Time: Alongside the final round of Swiss (Must drop out of main event before final round of swiss to participate)
Event Details: 4 Rounds of Swiss with no top cut, running alongside the final Swiss round and Top Cut of the main event.

Bounties & Bonus Prizes
A host of powerful players will be attending our Regional! To make things more exciting, we are offering a Bounty on four players who will be at the event. Are you up to the challenge?
Bounty posters will be on the walls during the event! Any time a player wins a full round against one of the Bounty players, that player can report to the Head Judge (Maindeck Dan) to receive a bonus prize of 8 Mortal Ambition Event Packs!
Bounties are available to collect in both the Main event and the Scrubbed out of Snow event (if applicable!).

A 1 hour lunch break will be provided after roughly 3 rounds of Swiss! Even though the weather outside may be frightful, the West Acres Mall has a delightful food court with plenty of options to satiate your needs at affordable prices.

Accommodation Options
We know, we're far away! To make your life easier, we've got a set of options for accomodations so you can stay the night and travel safely.
Block Rate - MainStay Suites Fargo
We have secured a block rate for 2 nights (February 7th-9th) at the MainStay Suites in Fargo, under a mile away from the store's location in the West Acres Mall. The Suites are more spacious than typical hotel rooms making them great for some night-before playtesting with your group.
Book before January 24th to get the Block Rate of $179/night for 1 King/1 Sofa Bed, or $199/night for 2 Queens (Mobility & Hearing accessible).

Closest to Venue
The absolute closest hotel is the across-the-street Delta Hotels by Marriott. A brisk run across the street and through the parking lot will get you into the West Acres Mall, but the room will cost you a bit more - at the time of writing, rooms for the weekend are running at $225/night or above!
Cheaper or Other Options
This is a busy weekend, but still a few hotels or motels exist in the vicinity with cheaper prices! If frugality is the key, here's a link to find nearby hotels and compare prices and availability to find the one that best meets your needs!
After the Event: Dinner & Community Meetup
We don't just play TCGs to compete - the social aspect is just as important! To capstone the day, once the event has concluded, at around 9 PM we will all head to the local favorite eatery Würst Bier Hall to end the night with food, drinks, and socializing.
Chat with players from Maindeck and True Champion Gaming, and other attendees from the event, and enjoy classic German-inspired dishes that are a tradition in many upper midwest households! My favorite is the Spaetzle Mac & Cheese with a JALAPEÑO CHEDDAR sausage, but if you want something a little more American, the Haus Cheeseburger is one of the better burgers in the area! And you've got to give a try to the Sweet Potato Fries with Marshmallow Fluff dip - it might sound a little unusual, but it's a delightful combination!
This is a "dutch" dinner - bring your own way to pay - but space is reserved for the entire tournament, so we hope you choose to join us to close out the night together!
